We stop by on the way to a cidery fest, lol and I did not know what we are going to eat, so it was an amazing surprise for me, because love this type of cuisine. I ordered a hot tea and spicy edamame to start, the edamame flavor it is amazing, it is the first place that I see that they kind of flame. My wife order Ramen (I dont particulate love ramen), but she love it, I went with the traditional bulgogi spicy pork over rice and was a blast!, my first place on this dish was closed unfortunately, so, this nowadays become my no #1 dish, portion, flavor, temperature, everything was perfect. I want to definitely return here, not sure if will risk with other things because that dish will be hard to beat! I truly recommend this place 100%.

So delicious! I ordered the kimchi pancake and it was the best one I’ve ever eaten. The mangetsu ramen was tasty and there was plenty of pork! Very filling. I will be back for sure!

Came here at the recommendation of a friend. We had the tempura pork gyoza, kimchi pancake, tan tan ramen and spicy mangetsu ramen (subbed ramen noodles for glass noodles). The waitress warned us that the tan tan ramen was super spicy but if you are used to spicy food it was just right. Not too spicy with lots of flavor. Both ramens had delicious, rich broths and all the stuff in the soup was cooked perfectly. No overly soft veggies or overcooked noodles. Excellent food and service for really reasonable prices and great service! Will absolutely be back.

Best ramen place in all of New England. I’ve tried ramen in about 10 other states and no place comes close to Mangetsu ramen and the experience is always delightful. I would truly say that their service is exemplary and a well run establishment from top to bottom. Definitely a gem of Farmington and Connecticut.

Me and my husband stumbled upon this place and we are so happy we decided to go . Everything was absolutely delicious! The server was very friendly and helpful as we had questions about the menu. The food came out piping hot, flavorful, fresh and quickly! A lot of fresh vegetables too. The spicy rice cakes were absolutely delicious. I personally love the tan tan noodles and this was probably the best beef bulgogi I've ever had. I normally don't even like bulgogi but this was super flavorful without being crazy sweet and had a lot of fresh veg in it too. Can't say enough good things! We will definitely be back.

My wife and I both ordered the Tuna & Salmon Spicy Mayo Poke bowl and we agreed that this was the best Poke bowl we’ve ever had. Ingredients was fresh, well dressed, just the right level of spice and overall delicious. We forgot to take a picture of it since we were too busy enjoying it but the presentation was also nice. Mangetsu staff was warm and attentive. We will be returning.

This Japanese place is really great in taste. The miso ramen is very recommended, or the spicy one if you like that way. Even the tan tan ramen wasn’t that spicy (it was supposed to be very spicy). Personnel is kind and there a genuine Japanese chef preparing all the food almost in front of you. Not so expensive and they serve good portions.

Summary: A solid ramen restaurant also serving other Japanese and Korean fare. The restaurant is a rare find in central CT and the quality of its food is on par with counterparts found in NYC and BOS. The pork broth is superb and always consistent between bowls. Other menu items, such as the appetizers, are all great options. Must Try: Mangetsu ramen (regular or spicy) Also Recommended: Spicy kara age (fried chicken), seafood pancake, and Chashu ramen. Avoid: N/A ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Great, worth a detour
